ScaleUp is ideal for business owners who want to grow their business exponentially while creating additional opportunities to increase revenue, streamline operations, achieve target metrics and manage cash flow more effectively. The 35-hours of classroom instruction is highly focused on performance and actionable strategies, ensuring that participants will acquire mastery of skill sets that will improve their business and strengthen the bottom line.
The curriculum is based on the Center for Business Innovation’s highly successful ScaleUp program as well as the Kauffman Foundation’s proven FastTrac Growth Venture coursework. The ideal company for ScaleUp has been in operation for one to two years and has annual revenues in excess of $75,000.
Classes are limited in size (25 maximum per class) to allow plenty of time for interaction and discussion. Two principals from each company can participate but will need to share the same class materials and binder. Classes meet once a week for seven hours of classroom instruction.
ScaleUp sessions are directed by a well-qualified instructor with substantial business growth experience who is also certified by the Kaufman Foundation. Local guest speakers add to the experience, as do fellow business owners. The course also offers the opportunity to connect with various local resources to fuel further growth.
ScaleUp is a partnership between the Washington State Department of Commerce, Thurston EDC Center for Business Innovation and local economic development organizations.
