Global Entrepreneurship Week
Nov. 14-20, 2016
Global Entrepreneurship Week is the world’s largest celebration of the innovators and job creators who launch startups that bring ideas to life, drive economic growth and expand human welfare. In 2015, Washington State led the way with more than 200 events in 39 counties and 2016 promises to be even bigger as communities throughout the state recognize the power of entrepreneurship, from elementary school age to senior citizens.
GEW inspires people everywhere through local, national and global activities designed to help them explore their potential as self-starters and innovators. These activities, from large-scale competitions and events to intimate networking gatherings, connect participants to potential collaborators, mentors and even investors—introducing them to new possibilities and exciting opportunities.
If your organization, institution or business wants to get involved in this year’s celebration of entrepreneurship, contact Maury Forman at the Washington State Department of Commerce and he’ll get you all the information you need to be part of GEW 2016.
